New Emergency X-Ray Facilities are coming to Barwon Health

In 2008/09 Barwon Health installed a ceiling suspended x-ray system across four (4) resuscitation cubicles in its new emergency department. In addition to the above Barwon Health has also installed another Philips DR X-ray room with the latest Eleva software platform.
New Ultrasound Systems have arrived at Barwon Health

In 2008 Barwon Health accepted delivery of 3 new Philips iu22 ultrasound systems each equipped with DVD burners. In addition we also now have the capacity to provide 3D and 4D images using the latest ultrasound technology.
New 64 Slice CT systems have arrived at Barwon Health
June 2007
On December 4th 2007 Barwon Health performed the first CT scan in Australia using the latest Philips 64 slice CT system with new Nanotechnology Detector Panels.
CR (Digital Radiography) System
June 2007
Computerised Radiography (CR) has been implemented across all Barwon Health medical imaging sites. The new Fuji CR system replaces the traditional photographic system that has been used for more than 100 years.
DR (Digital Radiography) System
December 2006
As a part of the State Government’s targeted equipment program Barwon Health has installed a digital radiography (DR) system. With DR the x-ray production workflow involving the handling or film or CR cassettes is completely replaced by the direct capture of images within 5 seconds!
