DR (Digital Radiography) System

As a part of the State Government’s targeted equipment program Barwon Health has installed a digital radiography (DR) system. With DR the x-ray production workflow involving the handling or film or CR cassettes is completely replaced by the direct capture of images within 5 seconds!
The DR system at Barwon Health is the Philips Digital Diagnost VM Single Plate Detector DR Room.
The DR system went 'live' in December 2006.
