Images on your PC (Synapse)
Synapse (PACS) is a software package which enables medical practitioners to view images and reports online from Barwon Medical Imaging, allowing twenty-four hour access to patient information. Access to Synapse is a valuable tool for diagnosis and implementation of patient care plans.
In order to upload Synapse for electronic viewing of images in your practice, BMI require each doctor/referrer to sign and complete a Synapse Confidentiality Form. Please click on the link above to print a copy of the form and return via facsimilie to 5226 7042.
Once received, BMI will contact Barwon Health IT on your behalf to generate a user name and password. When these have been issued BMI will telephone you to co-ordinate installation of Synapse and provide initial training.
